Send the room code or player link to participants.
3) Buzz
Players choose a table and buzz on the start signal.

ADABRA is a fast-paced, team-based quiz game that rewards knowledge, coordination, and speed.

Teams & Roles

  • A game consists of 2 to 6 teams.
  • Each team appoints one captain.
  • The captain makes the final decision on:
    • Who will answer the question, or
    • Which answer will be submitted after a team brainstorm.
  • Each team also assigns a buzzer player, selected by the captain.

Devices

  • One device per team is sufficient.
  • This device is used exclusively by the buzzer player to press the Buzz button.
  • The buzzer player should only press when the team is confident that:
    • A team member knows the answer, or
    • The team’s final answer is ready after discussion.

Game Flow

  • The host (presenter) creates the game room and controls the flow.
  • For each question, the host sets a timer, visible on the shared game screen.
  • All teams see the same question and countdown in real time.

Buzzing & Answering

  • The first team to press the Buzz button earns the right to answer.
  • If that team answers correctly:
    • They score one point.
    • All other teams lose the chance to answer that question.
    • The game proceeds immediately to the next round.
  • If the buzzing team answers incorrectly:
    • Other teams may buzz in and attempt an answer while time remains.

Time Rules

  • The timer applies to all teams.
  • When the timer reaches zero:
    • No team may answer, regardless of buzz order.
  • Effective time management is critical—waiting too long can cost everyone the question.

Key Strategy

  • Speed matters, but accuracy matters more.
  • Buzzing too early without a solid answer is risky.
  • Coordinated teamwork, efficient brainstorming, and quick decision-making win games.
